Movie Review

Interpretation: I thought that watching this movie was very beneficial and watching it made the characters come alive and a lot easier to understand. It really helped being able to see and hear the emotion from the characters; also making it more entertaining to be apart of.

How did the actors act: Each individual character had their own role and I think they all portrayed their characters very well because the emotion that they expressed was exceptionally well done. I thought that Beatrice (Emma Thompson) did an excellent job presenting the emotion that everyone wanted to see. I definitely had a different picture in my head of each actor while reading the book, each actor fit their character really well.

The Pace: Overall I thought that the pace of this movie was well set, although there were a few sections where it could have been a little more entertaining. The slow part that stood out the most was the beginning of the movie when Don Pedro arrives because it took some time to get used to who the characters were and also understanding what was going on.

Production & Direction: The production and direction crew did a phenomenal job making this play come alive. They chose out the perfect costumes, music, and setting to really set the shakespearian mood. Along with that the props that they had were used well and had good meaning.

Was it worth it: This movie was defiantly a must see and made the idea of doing the Shakespeare unit a lot more enjoyable. Watching this movie really helped my understanding of who the characters where and also made it clearer to see the comedy side of the play.
